In honor of World Recycling Day and World Earth Day, Greatech initiated an environmental movement with the theme “Clean & Lean”, aimed at promoting awareness about waste segregation within our Greatech community. These efforts were designed to enhance knowledge of waste sorting and disposal, while also providing practical experience in sustainable practices.
Throughout the month of April, we have organized a series of activities, including exhibitions, E-quizzes, flashcard designs, and a garbage picking sports competition at Esplanade Penang. During the one-hour competition, our participants collectively gathered 28.05kg of waste, consisting of 18.68kg of recyclable items, 7.08kg of non-recyclable items, and 2.28kg of cigarette butts.
These numbers go beyond just weight – they represent the dedication of Greatechies to preserving our Mother Earth.
