At Greatech, we are committed to setting our goals in alignment with the Global Reporting Initiative (“GRI”) and UN Sustainable Development Goals (“UN SDGs”) to build a sustainable future. We have linked our material sustainability matters to the SDGs and are striving to drive SDGs through our business.
Greatech was also added to the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia (“F4GBM”) Index and FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia Shariah (“F4GBMS”) Index in June 2022, which was designed to identify Malaysian companies with recognized environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) practices. In addition to that, we have been granted a 4-stars status during the December 2022 annual review, which further demonstrated our commitment in our ESG practices
SUSTAINABILITY GOVERNANCE
The Sustainability Working Group (SWG) monitors and evaluates sustainability activities and performance. The relevant functions implement sustainability initiatives.
The main function of the SWG is to monitor and evaluate sustainability activities and performance according to the objectives and strategies approved by the Board on an annual basis. In summary, the responsibilities for driving and implementing the sustainability initiatives lies within the relevant functions of the Group.
